Scots 'exchange the most cash before holidays'

Scottish travellers exchange the most cash before setting off on a holiday, according to new research by Marks & Spencer (M&S )Money.
This means they get the best value for money.
They exchange an average of £340, just beating those in north-east England who exchange £339.
Fraser Millar, M&S head of travel services, said that the company's research suggests that 69 per cent of people buy foreign currency before travelling.
"By taking out more currency in advance, shoppers in Scotland and the north of England are getting the best value," he noted.
Mr Fraser added that as the pound has become weaker against the Euro and US dollar, holidaymakers are looking for better deals by going to other countries.
He said sales of Turkish and Egyptian currency have increased significantly.
In September, M&S Money offered a foreign currency refund for customers of XL Leisure Group.
At the time, Mr Millar expressed sympathy for people whose holidays had had to be cancelled and said M&S hoped to ease some of the inconvenience.
