Sainsbury's Bank: Loans rates cut

Sainsbury's Bank has announced that it has cut the annual percentage rate (APRs) of interest charged on its loans.

The supermarket bank said that the typical interest rates on loans of between £7,000 and £15,000 has fallen from 8.9 per cent to 8.2 per cent.

Sainsbury's Bank said that the new interest rates are some of the most competitive on the market but added that the offer is limited and is only available to those who apply for their loan online.

Steven Baillie, head of loans at Sainsbury's Finance, said: "We are committed to providing our customers with great products and are delighted to be able to offer this rate cut at a time when our customers are starting to think about the new year ahead."

Halifax recently advised customers to shop around for the best financial products as part of their January sales shopping.
