Coventry Building Society launches new mortgages for New Year

Coventry Building Society announced the launch of a new range of mortgages for the New Year today.

Among the new products is a mortgage which offers a two year residential fixed rate of 4.99 per cent, available at 85 per cent loan to value, as well as a free valuation and a free remortgage transfer service.

Colin Franklin, head of sales at the Coventry and Managing Director of Godiva Mortgages, said that the new mortgages were highly competitive and in some cases are market leading products.

He added: "This new range will appeal to those looking to remortgage, move home, or take their first step onto the property ladder whilst giving them peace of mind at a great rate."

Recently the Building Societies Association released data which showed that mortgage lending is down on its 2007 level, meaning mortgages may be harder to come by.
