Internet suppliers 'not satisfying customers'

Research released recently by uSwitch.com has found that many people in the UK are unhappy with their broadband internet supplier and many believe they are not getting good value for money.

The price comparison website conducted a survey which revealed that 54 per cent of people in the UK do not believe their company has put them on the deal that is most suited to their needs.

On top of this, 42 per cent of UK broadband customers are unhappy with the levels of service they receive. uSwitch calculated that around 1.4 million BT Broadband customers do not believe the service provides value for money.

Steve Weller, communications expert at uSwitch.com, said: "The difference in performance between the best and worst companies is now greater than ever, so it's vital for customers to keep tabs on their situation to make sure that they are getting the best bang for their buck."

The government is planning to roll out a nationwide broadband network in the near future.
