Tesco Pet Insurance offers help for tracking down lost animals

Tesco's Pet Insurance policy offers up to £1,000 towards the costs of tracking down a lost animal, the company has announced.

According to the insurer, an estimated 300,000 pets go missing every year in the UK. One of the best ways in which to help find a lost animal, Tesco claims, is to advertise with flyers and posters in the area where it went missing.

However, doing so can be expensive task, so Tesco has made an additional support package available to help make things easier.

"Pet owners won't want to be worried about reward and printing flyer costs on top of existing emotional stress, so our package of additional benefits covers up to £1,000 towards these costs," said Rachel Cutler, head of Tesco Pet Insurance.

Meanwhile, people have until April 1st to take advantage of a range of Tesco personal finance offers, including 20 per cent off breakdown cover when booked online.
