Worry over energy bills revealed

Many householders have claimed they will struggle when it comes to paying their winter energy bills, despite a recent round of price cuts from a number of major providers.

A new study conducted by moneysupermarket.com has revealed that ten per cent of the UK will be unable to afford their payments, while 27 per cent claimed they are not happy with the size of their bill.

Utilities manager at the price comparison site Scott Byron commented: "It is crucial energy users are aware of the savings they could make by switching provider, and I would urge people to scour the market for the best tariff to suit their needs."

Moneysupermarket.com has also issued advice to mobile phone users planning to take a trip away over Easter, urging them to consider shopping around for a different network provider.

This comes after it found that people have racked up thousands of pounds on their phone bill by using their mobile internet abroad.
