Saga credit card reduces APR

The group has announced that it is to reduce the APR on its Saga Platinum credit card from 15.9 to 11.9 per cent, even though many of its competitors are being forced to increase theirs.
On top of being made available to both new and existing customers, the benefits of the card are set to reach further.
The introductory rate of zero per cent on balance transfers and purchases will be extended for new customers to nine months.
Saga chief executive Andrew Goodsell commented: "It's more important than ever that people take a good look at their finances."
This comes after the group revealed that 46 per cent of the population are opting to use their credit cards for big purchases, to ensure their money is protected in the event of the vendor going bust as a result of the downturn.
