Leeds Building Society: Fixed-rate mortgages launched

A pair fixed-rate mortgages that aim to offer "security" and "peace of mind" to consumers has been launched by Leeds Building Society.

The five and ten-year mortgages represent a "fantastic" opportunity for borrowers looking to take advantage of the certainty of low, fixed repayments, explains Kim Rebecchi, director of sales and marketing at the financial services provider.

She adds: "These products deliver peace of mind and security, over a large part of a typical mortgage life, at a very affordable rate."

The Leeds Building Society representative notes that in these uncertain times, especially when taking into consideration the historically low interest rates currently in place, a rising number of consumers are looking to fix their mortgage repayments.

All the mortgages are portable, should a consumer wish to move house.

In recent weeks, the financial services provider announced the launch of a new range of Isas, which pay interest of up to 3.5 per cent.
