HSBC: Personal pension plan launched

HSBC's new personal pension plan, which enables customers to tap into its world investment selection, has been launched.

The bank announced that the new plan offers customers the chance to invest in the portfolios offered in its world selection, which include globally diverse, multimanager, multi-asset packages.

HSBC claims that its new pension package will appeal to customers who wish to combine a secure retirement package with a tax-efficient wrapper.

David Wells, head of investments pensions and savings at HSBC, said: "Customers have consistently told us they don't want the rollercoaster ride of volatile investments, but they do want the ability to share in global growth opportunities."

Spreading asset investments around can help ensure that pension funds are not tied to the fate of any particular company or group of companies.

HSBC is one of the world's largest banking groups, with offices in 86 countries. In the UK, the bank has 15.6 million customers.
