Leeds Building Society ISA 'pays 13 times more than base rate'

Savers hoping to put aside some pennies in the current economic climate could use the Leeds Building Society best buy ISA to do so.

It offers a rate of 6.67 per cent, which is currently over 13 times the Bank of England base rate for higher rate taxpayers and ten times for standard rate tax payers.

Plus, the ISA also allows for the transfer of funds from other ISAs, including any interest earned on them in former years.

Director of Sales and Marketing for Leeds Building Society Kim Rebecchi said that the ISA "delivers an excellent guaranteed return, flexibility and peace of mind and some customers, who have invested the maximum possible, could have £43,200 invested in an ISA plus accrued interest".

In the opinion of Ms Rebecchi, Leeds Building Society's savings accounts cut through financial jargon and are simple and easy to use.
