New credit card from Norwich & Peterborough Building Society

The Norwich & Peterborough Building Society (N&P) has joined forces with MBNA to launch a new credit card which carries a special introductory offer of zero per cent interest on purchases for the first three months.

This rate then reverts to a typical variable APR of 15.9 per cent. As well as this offer, the new N&P credit card has a 12-month interest-free option for those who are transferring funds over from an existing card, with a three per cent balance transfer fee.

Furthermore, those who are timely with their monthly repayments and make the minimum amount receive up to 50 interest-free days on their purchases.

"MBNA is the market leader in affinity card marketing and N&P credit card cardholders will benefit from our experience in this market," stated Greg Reed, president of MBNA UK.

Another credit card to have been launched recently is that from Tesco Clubcard, which offers a zero per cent interest rate for up to a year to those who apply for it online.
