Combining broadband internet, home phone and TV services in the UK could save consumers more than £230 a year, it has been claimed.

According to the latest research from BroadbandChoices.co.uk, these savings can be made by people who opt into broadband bundles and as a result, the firm has recommended some aspects to consider when opting for such a package.

When it comes to TV, take into account which channels you will want to subscribe to and cancel out any that are irrelevant, the firm recommends.

Internet-wise, those who only use the service sparsely will not require super-fast speeds and extra download capacities, so going for a more basic package would be more beneficial. The same applies to a home phone, as users must decide what times they will use it and over what distances, the site furthers.

Finally, it adds, comparing your current deal with a broadband bundle using a reputable comparison site will also help to give a clearer picture of the savings to be made.

Last month, research conducted by uSwitch.com found that 52 per cent of UK broadband subscribers are happy with the speeds of their internet services.
