Post Office Travel Insurance: Failing to buy cover could be disastrous

Head of Post Office Travel Insurance Rachel Croft said that though many travellers take as much as £1,000 worth of valuables with them on holiday, many are neglecting to take out sufficient cover.
"With many household budgets being squeezed, skimping on travel insurance can seem like an easy way to save money on the costs of the holiday," she explained.
However, Ms Croft added that by doing so, people are risking "losing much more", in both a financial and personal respect.
This advice comes as research from the organisation revealed that the average worth of a Brits' suitcase is £1,133, with women's belongings typically being more expensive than those of their male counterparts.
