Halifax Home Insurance names UK's top ten burglary hotspots

According to Halifax, central London is where the most unforced burglary claims are lodged, followed by Leeds.
Chester, north Wales and the Wirral claim joint third place, while Enfield and Barnet sit on the fourth spot.
Other areas in the top ten include Manchester, Grimsby, Coventry and Kingston.
Recent research carried out by Halifax shows that 22 per cent of people do not lock their doors and windows when they are at home, while 17 per cent have not taken out home insurance.
"We'd recommend people close windows when they are not in the room and lock their front door when they are out in the back garden," explained Halifax senior claims manager Martyn Foulds.
The day on which the most domestic burglaries are carried out in Britain is June 6th, according to Saga Insurance.
