Santander Cards: 10m Brits cutting holiday spend

According to Santander Cards' survey, 84 per cent of Britons are planning to take a break away this year. Of these, one-quarter plans to cut their holiday budget, while 43 per cent said theirs will stay the same as last year.
An affluent 20 per cent of respondents said they do not create a holiday budget at all.
Director of Santander Cards Callum Gibson commented: "As well as reducing their overall holiday expenditure, Britons can make their money go further while they're abroad by always paying in the local currency."
In similar news, data compiled by insurance firm LV= last month found that by sacrificing their holidays abroad and opting for a so-called staycation, Brits can save themselves £247 each.
