Zurich reduces premiums on Decreasing Mortgage Plan

Peter Hamilton, protection management director at Zurich UK Life, stated that if cancer or multiple sclerosis is excluded from cover then the premium will be brought down as it is the "right thing to do".
Six new conditions have been introduced to the plan and several others had been redefined, so as to be more accurate and informative to the customer.
Mr Hamilton said: "We have also improved and added to our definitions, but not simply to play the numbers game."
The total number of conditions covered under the Decreasing Mortgage Plan now stands at 38, but the Zurich representative pointed out that they are under regular review.
Zurich also announced the appointment of Jaki Platt as area sales director today and IFA sales director at the company Richard Howells said he was "delighted" to have her on the team.
