Lloyds TSB identifies most affordable uni towns

It was found that the most affordable university cities and towns were Hull and Newport, which provide services to seats of learning such as the University of Wales, the University of Lincoln and Hull University.
The next most affordable cities and towns were identified as Durham, Plymouth, Middlesbrough, Pontypridd and Bradford.
Universities in central London were not included in the ranking.
House economist at Lloyds TSB Nitesh Patel said: "In the past decade, 90 per cent of the UK's university towns have seen house prices at least double. The number of full-time students has increased by a quarter to 1.48 million in 2008 over this period."
Meanwhile, recent research by Saga suggested that more than a quarter (26 per cent) of people go back and live with their parents after finishing university.
