Sky MacFarlane, senior international manager at the bank, stated that the account was designed with these students in mind, as it makes relocation a little simpler for them.
He pointed out that it can be difficult to settle in for foreign students and not having a debit card can make the situation even more inconvenient.
"Getting a bank account is one of the most important things you must do when you move abroad, but it can also be among the most difficult and time consuming," he said.
Research by the organisation indicated that 15 per cent of students in the UK come from abroad.
A recent study by HSBC showed that more and more students are having to find work to allow them to continue with their studies, with 40 per cent of final-year students in employment.
