New Nationwide mortgage deals announced

Nationwide has announced the addition of a number of new mortgage deals.

In a statement, the financial services provider explained that as of today (October 2nd), those purchasing a home will have access to a range of mortgages including a two-year, fixed-rate deal that is available from 3.88 per cent.

Additionally, a three-year tracker that is available from 3.14 per cent - and up to 75 per cent loan-to-value - will also be accessible to people buying a property.

Those who are remortgaging can obtain a two-year, fixed-rate product from 4.17 per cent and 60 per cent loan-to-value and a number of other deals.

Commenting, Andy McQueen, mortgage director at Nationwide, said: "We've cut nearly 70 individual rates on our mortgages by up to 0.8 per cent. For example, our two-year fixed-rate with no reservation fee for house movers has been reduced from 4.88 per cent to 4.28 per cent."

Nationwide recently published research showing that the average price of a UK house in the third quarter of 2009 was £160,159.
