James Hillon, head of home insurance at the group, noted that while many families plan to dress warmly and remain safe while out and about on November 5th, it is also important for them to remember to protect their property.
Those planning to have fireworks or a bonfire at home should take care to keep clear of hedges, fences or vehicles - and make sure their home insurance policy is up-to-date should an accident occur.
Mr Hillon explained that this will cover homeowners in the event their property is damaged by someone else, or if they cause accidental injury or damage to others themselves.
Price comparison website moneysupermarket.com also recently commented on the importance of home insurance as Bonfire Night festivities draw nearer.
It also recommended that people who are handling fireworks wear gloves and suggested that home owners make sure outside areas are well-lit.
