Dodge Ryanair booking fees with Caxton FX

Fees will be charged to customers paying for flights with Ryanair with any plastic other than a MasterCard prepaid card as of January 1st 2010.

A charge of €5 (£4.52) will be levied on top of the actual air ticket price - and any other additional costs. However, by using a prepaid card, the fees are dropped.

Currently, customers who pay for their flights using a Visa Electron card do not have to pay additional costs thanks to a Ryanair scheme, but this deal comes to an end of December 31st.

James Hickman, managing director at Caxton FX, said: "We work hard to remove unnecessary fees and costs and we are delighted, that once again, our prepaid Currency Cards will deliver cost savings to our customers."

The prepaid card provider advised holidaymakers travelling to Europe over the Christmas period to plan their money ahead in order to make the most out of their Euros. Using foreign ATM machines adds a charge of up to £1.75 on top of the cash withdrawn in the transaction.
