Yorkshire Bank launches free home insurance offer

Yorkshire Bank is to begin offering free building and contents insurance for one year for home movers and remortgage customers from the start of next week.

Between January 18th and February 28th, the company - along with sister organisation Clydesdale Bank - will offer up to £1,000 worth of cover on a range of products available to consumers switching to the lender from their current mortgage provider.

As an alternative deal, customers also have the option of getting £500 knocked off arrangement fees.

Yorkshire Bank's head of retail Gary Lumby commented: "By combining a range of competitive remortgage and home-mover products with up to £1,000 of free insurance or £500 towards arrangement fees we're offering great value and choice."

In November last year, Yorkshire Bank - which is operated by National Australia Group - was named best regional lender by Your Mortgage magazine. It was the 11th time it has received the accolade.
