AA Financial Services issues car scrappage warning

Mark Huggins, director of AA Financial Services, suggested that although there is only a short period left, now is the perfect time to trade in your old car while it is worth £2,000.

He said: "Not only will buyers get their hands on a new '10' plate car but it also seems that many people have cash available to buy them."

There are now fewer than 24,000 scrappage registrations left and AA Financial Services advises customers to act quickly before it is too late.

It was recently revealed by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders that 19.6 per cent of all new vehicles purchased in February were bought via the scrappage system, which was extended to March.
