Norwich and Peterborough Building Society unveils Isa range

Gary Lacey, savings product manager for the organisation, told customers to stop by their nearest branch or go online to find out more.

He said: "We really are able to offer our customers everything they need when it comes to making the most of their tax-free savings and investments."

The building society's Isa range offers a one-year Isa with a fixed rate of 2.8 per cent, a five-year product with a 4.3 per cent rate and a Gold Cash Isa with a two per cent bonus in the first year.

It also provides a new dealing facility, called Bed and Isa, whereby customers can make use of share investments outside of their account to increase their savings.

However, the consumer standards group Which? does not believe the Isa market works to the benefit of customers.

The organisation has agreed with a complaint lodged by Consumer Focus and is calling for a review of how much information is given to customers about changes to rates before their application is processed.
