Personal savers have been sidelined, claims Moneymagpie.com

Savers have been sidelined over the past few years while the people that are in financial difficulties receive aid and this situation now needs reviewing, according to a finance expert.

Jasmine Birtles, founder of Moneymagpie.com and television and radio presenter, made her comments regarding the Save Out Savers campaign, which has suggested that all the main political parties should explicitly state their savings policies before the election next month.

The pressure group found that 45 per cent of UK adults agree with this opinion and Ms Birtles sympathised with this opinion, saying that much of middle England probably feels that it has been "clobbered" by the government's fiscal strategy.

"It seems that it's people who don't work, who don't bother, who are living on benefits, who are on credit and going bankrupt are the ones who are helped," she remarked.

In her opinion, the Save Our Savers campaign is trying to stand up for middle-class, middle-earning individuals in Britain.
