Virgin London Marathon Credit Card 'ideal for runners'

A new credit card from Virgin celebrating the London Marathon has been described as a great way to raise money for a runner's chosen charity by the financial services provider.

The card allows people to donate one per cent of their spending on purchases to charitable organisations and spokesperson at Virgin Money Scott Mowbray has recommended it for runners and fundraisers alike.

He stated that it is a convenient method of supporting a noble cause, with 0.8 per cent being offered as a standard and the remaining 0.2 per cent added if the borrower is eligible for gift aid.

"We are proud to be sponsoring the London Marathon and are determined to do all we can to ensure the world's biggest charity fundraising event continues to deliver for good causes," added Mr Mowbray.

The marathon is taking place on Sunday April 25th, with the first runners setting off at 09:00 BST and rest following in batches after that.
