AA credit cards 'could save people petrol pounds'

Customers with AA credit cards have been advised that they could save money on driving expenditure by utilising the payment method at the pumps.

People will receive cash back on every pound they spend on fuel, with members of the AA receiving an even better rate of return.

Mark Huggins, director of AA Financial Services, highlighted how the price of petrol is a thorn in the side of many parents, who have no choice but to drive on school runs and other essential trips.

"Drivers can help themselves save a penny or two at the pumps by shopping around and gaining double points relative to other non-motoring spend," explained the AA representative.

He claimed that the price of fuel could become a key election issue and recommended that people use AA credit cards, since they will receive £30 back from spending £3,000 on petrol in a year, as long as they are AA members.

The same company advised parents to battle car theft by ensuring that their keys are always kept safe, since many modern cars cannot be stolen without them.
