Kevin Mountford, head of banking at the organisation, made his remarks following research by the firm, which indicated that there has been a 34 per cent increase in the number of people putting their money into an Isa in the first few days of April.
He explained that these figures suggest many consumers have got the right idea and claimed that the UK economy's battle with inflation makes it all the more important to save at a good rate of interest.
"With very little movement expected in the market, savers would be better off taking out a product now to start accruing the interest immediately rather than waiting for a better deal at a higher rate," said Mr Mountford.
The moneysupermarket.com representative recently highlighted how inflation has fluctuated a lot over the last few months.
