Savers are looking online for financial advice, claims Fidelity International

Fidelity International has claimed that people are turning to the internet to try and help them make decisions about how to make their money grow.

Investment director at the firm Tom Stevenson predicted that the demand for web-based guidance is poised to grow and suggested that this indicates the increasing significance of the medium in terms of finance.

His comments were made after Fidelity International published a survey indicating that 72 per cent of savers and investors in Great Britain say that they decide between financial products themselves, but in reality look for some form of help.

Mr Stevenson remarked: "What is clear is that savers want to access to different types of help, ranging from full independent advice to simple guidance for more-self directed investors."

The same company recently advised the public to get involved in a monthly investment plan, since they can build up a significant amount of money by putting away a relatively small amount each month.
