New Bupa insurance strategy 'helps to get an early diagnosis'

Bupa insurance has suggested that its new Patient Cash policy could help people get a diagnosis for medical problems quickly for a low price.

Sales manager for Bupa Cash Plan Emma Exelby stated that the aim is for people to get the right treatment for a price that they can afford.

The insurance provider noted that this can be as little as £11.70 per month for individuals under 40.

Ms Exelby remarked: "Having listened to our customers, we have designed a product which gives people access to consultants as early as possible so that they can quickly find out what's wrong."

Bupa explained that this is the first time that it has offered a cash plan that offers many of the benefits of health insurance, such as cover for consultations, in-patient hospital stays, day patient surgery, physiotherapy and osteotherapy.

Meanwhile, Bupa International has revealed that its Gold Superior company plan will now feature enhanced dental cover and several other increases to services customers are entitled to.
