Confused.com: Insurance could help reduce stress over pets

Darren Black, head of pet insurance at the company, made his comments after a study by Confused.com insurance showed 49 per cent of pet owners are more sympathetic towards a poorly animal than a partner who has fallen ill.
This research also suggested one in three people have taken time off from their job to look after an animal, although this was more common among men than women.
Mr Black noted that taking out an insurance policy could reduce people's concerns about how they are going to pay for vet fees and treatment.
He remarked: "The worry that our furry friends cause is strong so pet owners should look to lessen the stress by ensuring they've got pet insurance."
Confused.com insurance recently revealed 25 per cent of travellers are less confident about going abroad following the disruption caused by the volcanic ash cloud.
