Santander Zero Credit Card 'cuts costs'

Travellers aiming to cut the costs of their trips abroad could utilise the Santander Zero Credit Card to remove card fees from their projected spend, claimed a spokesperson for the financial services provider.

Director of Santander cards Emma Roberts pointed out Brits will often be charged a foreign transaction fee of 2.75 per cent when they use their credit cards overseas, which can add "unnecessary" expenses to a holiday.

She said: "The Santander Zero Credit Card is one of the only cards on the market to offer fee-free foreign usage anywhere in the world."

Ms Roberts highlighted how the account also has no cash advance fee, so people are able to take out money from an ATM without worrying about being charged such a levy.

This month, Santander revealed about 18 per cent of the UK's ten to 15-year-olds are bringing in profits of £426 million a year between them by working.
