Leeds Building Society Albion Web Saver 'a straightforward product'

The simplicity of the Leeds Building Society Albion Web Saver account has been lauded by a spokesperson for the financial services provider.

Sales and marketing director at the company Kim Rebecchi explained the product was adapted from a branch-based passbook account called the Albion Saver.

This new online version offers 2.25 per cent interest, with no restriction on the number of withdrawals allowed.

Ms Rebecchi remarked: "It offers an excellent return, flexibility of full access and is straightforward with no requirement to open another account with the society."

She pointed out that the minimum starting deposit is £2,500 and recommended the Leeds Building Society Albion Web Saver to those who like to manage their accounts online.

This month, the firm unveiled a range of two-year offset mortgages that utilise savings held with the financial institution to lower the rate of interest being paid on a home loan.

Interest rates for this product start from 3.4 per cent.
