Aviva insurance highlights importance of group risk benefits

Douglas Wright, principal clinical consultant for the Aviva Health, suggested it is an indication of the value of such perks that firms continue to offer them, even in a difficult economic climate
He said: "Not many people are getting rid of them or seriously downgrading them in any way; they are absolutely holding on to them and taking other tough business decisions to allow them to do that."
Mr Wright noted it is not just important to the employer to be able to offer such benefits, they are also highly valued by the employee.
These comments were made in response to research by Aviva insurance, which showed that 51 per cent of companies offer at least one group risk to workers.
