Aviva health insurance finds GPs 'don't have enough time'

A study carried out by the organisation revealed that 50 per cent of family doctors believe a lack of time has impacted their ability to deal effectively with patients, while 43 per cent are of the opinion that it has affected their ability to diagnose.
Furthermore, the situation appears to be worsening, with 57 per cent of GPs stating that they have less time now to see patients than they did five years ago.
Aviva UK Health's chief medical officer Dr Hugh Laing suggested his company thinks it is vitally important that people should be able to speak to a doctor whenever they want.
"We give our private health insurance customers access to a confidential GP helpline offering advice and support 24 hours a day, 365 days a year," he remarked.
Recent Aviva health insurance research revealed that some UK citizens are becoming impatient with the NHS and worry about health matters while diagnoses are delayed.
