Barclays 4-4-2 offer 'linked to England World Cup performance'

The performance of the England team at the Fifa World Cup in South Africa will affect how long the Barclays 4-4-2 offer stays on the market, according to a representative from the group.

Managing director of Barclays Stockbrokers Des Byrne explained the deal will be available to investors until the national side is knocked out of the tournament.

He suggested this will give even more people a reason to cheer on the team, when the contest kicks off on June 11th.

Mr Byrne: "We believe in a diversified investment approach and throughout the duration of the competition we will be keeping our clients updated on overseas opportunities."

The Barclays 4-4-2 arrangement offers customers the chance to benefit from online trading commission of £4.42, when it is normally upwards of £6.95.

England play their first group game against USA on June 12th and the Barclays deal will be available from that evening until the side are knocked out.
