M&S Travel Money notes importance of value for money

It is essential for people heading to the Fifa World Cup in South Africa this month to get value for money in terms of currency exchange, says a spokesperson from M&S Travel Money.

James Yerkess, manager at the organisation, suggested there could be more fans heading to the African country if England progress to the later rounds of the competition.

But he highlighted the importance of getting good value for the money that travellers exchange, noting that "every penny counts" no matter how successful the football matches prove to be.

"Whatever the budget, M&S Travel Money is offering a competitive rate on South Africa Rand for the duration of the World Cup," commented Mr Yerkess.

Research by the company showed that 37 per cent of people travelling to a game are planning to take more than £450 cash on their trip, but the legal limit is 5,000 SA rand - about £450.

England are due to play their next game of the competition against Algeria on Friday June 18th.
