Head of savings and investments research at the organisation George Ladds claimed that such financial tools would allow adults to select from a wider range of options to provide for their child or grandchild in the future.
In his view, the government was right to scrap CTFs, but it is important to have an alternative.
"Yes, the CTF was originally launched to encourage parents to save, but I think parents need to be given more credit - most, if they can afford to, will save for their children anyway," remarked Mr Ladds.
He recommended that an allowance of £3,600 per year be instated for Fair Investment Company Children's Isas and other similar products, since this would encourage saving.
Last month, the firm highlighted how 97 per cent of charities are disappointed with the rate of interest they are receiving on their savings.
