Moneynet.co.uk welcomes introduction of Halifax Clarity credit card

The new Halifax Clarity credit card has been lauded by a representative from Moneynet.co.uk, who is impressed by the simplicity of the product.

Spokesperson for the financial advice website Andrew Hagger described how there are no complex introductory offers involving purchases or balance transfers, only a straightforward rate that is easy to follow.

In his opinion, this approach will appeal more to longer-term customers, particularly since the Halifax Clarity credit card offers an additional reward of £5 per month for spending £300 on the card.

Mr Hagger concluded: "It's a refreshing change to see the launch of a good value no nonsense product such as this latest piece of plastic from Halifax."

He also suggested that holidaymakers may enjoy the card, since it does not charge the user for overseas transactions.

Research by Halifax showed that a third of British adults have used their credit card while abroad, with transactions ranging from accommodation costs to shopping trips.
