MBNA credit cards highlights importance of customer needs

A top ranking official from the organisation that operates under the MBNA credit cards brand has stressed the significance of putting customers' needs first.

Brian Moynihan, global chief executive officer and president of Bank of America, made his comments on a visit to the Chester headquarters of MBNA.

He suggested that the financial strength of the company's customers is heavily connected to the amount of business they can do.

That is why he believes the consumer's needs must be at the centre of every policy employed by MBNA credit cards.

"I was delighted to have the opportunity to visit Chester and meet and talk with some of our associates in the card business. Listening to them helps us hone our strategy," said Mr Moynihan.

MBNA credit cards recently revealed customer payments will soon go towards those balances with the highest interest first, with this change becoming effective from September 1st 2010.
