Scottish Widows Investment Partnership notes favourable response

A development being handled by Scottish Widows Investment Partnership has received a positive response, says a representative from the company.

Investment director for property at the firm Darryl Tidd pointed out that the properties on New Bond Street and St George Street are clearly in prime locations.

In his experience, this tends to attract high calibre tenants and there has been plenty of interest from letters, despite the difficult market conditions.

Mr Tidd explained how Scottish Widows Investment Partnership has taken an "innovative" view on the development of these buildings.

"We've added another storey to St George Street which has created three times as much accommodation, have married the old with new and made sustainability a focus at the heart of the project," he remarked.

The properties being redeveloped are at 14 St George Street, Maddox Street and 50 New Bond Street, according to the firm.

Last week, the company announced that Jeremy Charles has been appointed investment director on its UK equities team.
