Coventry Building Society banking announces football partnership

A new partnership with Coventry City FC will see a number of Coventry Building Society banking extras released for customers.

Mark Harrington, savings product manager at the firm, explained that bonus products will be added to accounts after the financial services provider became the official savings and mortgage partner for the football club.

"Hopefully fans, young and old, will see it is a very special way of saving, as well as being a great support to their team," he said.

Mr Harrington noted that it is a great project for him because he is a life long 'sky blues' fan.

Among the Coventry Building Society banking products to be released will be the Sky Blues Saver and the Junior Sky Blues Saver, both of which will be unveiled on August 6th 2010.

Last week, the firm announced the launch of its 3.99 per cent interest Flexx Capped product, which has an initial pay rate of 2.99 per cent and is available at up to 65 per cent loan to value.
