Invesco Perpetual Corporate Bond fund managers lauded

Two managers have been applauded for the skill and commitment which has led to increased success for the Invesco Perpetual Corporate Bond fund.

Jackie Beard, director of fund research at Morningstar, made her remarks after the organisation gave the financial tool 'elite' status, which is the first time it has issued a qualitative rating for the product.

She described the commitment of Paul Causer and Paul Read as "rare and commendable" and suggested their joint tenure extends the life of the fund.

"Investors in the Invesco Perpetual Corporate Bond benefit from the skills of two of the most experienced fixed-income managers in the retail market," said Ms Beard.

The Morningstar representative explained that 'elite' is the firm's top rating.

Meanwhile, the company has altered the rating of the GS BRICS product to 'under review' following the departure of Maria Gordon, although it claimed this loss will not be "fatal" for the fund.
