Lloyds TSB student account 'packed with features'

There are plenty of helpful features in the new Lloyds TSB student account, a spokesperson from the firm has claimed.

Jatin Patel, director of personal current accounts at the organisation, pointed out that the product has been designed to offer students financial support throughout their time at university.

The Lloyds TSB student account offers mobile banking free of charge, three years of Youth Hostel Association membership, an NUS card and an interest-free overdraft of £1,500 for courses up to three years.

"This year's student offering has been designed to provide the right financial help to students heading off to university, many of whom will be managing their finances for the first time," said Mr Patel.

He noted that Lloyds TSB is one of the largest providers of student accounts in the UK and suggested users will be assisted in managing their finances.

Recently, a survey by the same company indicated that there are more 20 to 30-year-olds who are trying to save up to £3,000 each year than over-50s.
