Sainsburys Finance 12-month cash Isa 'features attractive interest rate'

A new cash Isa from Sainsburys Finance has been described as having a desirable interest rate by a representative from the organisation.

Head of savings at the firm Helen Cook was full of praise for the product, which offers customers an annual interest payment of 2.6 per cent gross.

She said: "Our new 12-month Cash Isa provides customers with an attractive rate as well as instant access and importantly, the ability to transfer funds in from other cash Isas."

The Sainsburys Finance deal drops down to an interest rate of 0.5 per cent after a year and is available to consumers who wish to deposit between £500 and £5,100.

According to the firm, customers are able to transfer funds from other cash Isa accounts to increase their balance on this 12-month arrangement.

Last month, the same company revealed that up to £12 million was borrowed by Brits to pay for plastic surgery in 2009.

The organisation was quick to stress that this figure is an estimate though.
