Savings accounts provider Nationwide lauds personal loan interest rate

Nationwide has pointed out that its banking customers are able to benefit from a lower interest rate on personal loans.

Divisional director for banking at the organisation Graham Pilkington pointed out there may be one item in particular that people might want to borrow for currently.

"At a time of year when we're likely to see an increase in personal loan applications, these low rates will be attractive to people looking to fund the acquisition of a new car," he said.

Nationwide FlexAccount holders are able secure loans of between £7,500 and £14,999 at 7.6 per cent, with Mr Pilkington saying he is delighted to state this is the lowest rate in the UK.

In his opinion, this could be a great way to pay for a new car, since it can help simplify monthly outgoings into one fixed, monthly repayment.

Price comparison site moneysupermarket.com recently suggested there may be plenty of people looking to buy a car this month, because 60 plate cars are going on sale.
