Nationwide presents new system for fixed rate mortgage brokers

Mortgage brokers have been advised that a new platform for intermediaries is available from Nationwide, which the firm has claimed offers a very good service.

Ian Andrew, head of intermediary sales at Nationwide for Intermediaries and The Mortgage Works, suggested NFI Online could make the firm "partner of choice" for brokers thanks to the way it helps such professionals in the workplace.

He said: "Throughout the development process, we've had constant dialogue with intermediaries in order to produce a system that offers them a great service."

Among the options available to brokers who use the system is the Scan and Attach facility, which allows them to upload documents to a case straight from a scanner.

Mr Andrew described the product as "innovative" and noted that the increased efficiency should help clients as well.

Research by Nationwide released this month showed house prices dropped 0.9 per cent in August to an average of £166,507.
