Marketing director at Legal & General Investments Claire Evans pointed out that the Isa allowance has been raised recently, allowing people to save even more money tax free.
She suggested that individuals are starting to see how much money they can save using such accounts and this is driving their popularity.
"Isas are a great first step into learning about investing and feeling comfortable with the risk and reward nature of investment," said Ms Evans.
In her opinion, one of the key things to keep an eye on with Isas is ensuring that the most growth potential is being achieved.
This month, Legal & General announced the launch of its Select Portfolio Bond, which has no establishment or early surrender charge.
It has been designed to help financial advisers in the run-up to the Retail Distribution Review transition.
