Skipton Building Society high interest savings account 'aims for comfort'

Consumers' convenience has been kept at the forefront of the minds of the Skipton Building Society experts that designed a new product.

The Telephone Saver allows customers who are out of reach of a branch and not happy handling their money online to get a competitive interest rate, according to the organisation's head of products Kris Brewster.

He described the proposition as a "great option" for members, who each have different needs with regards to their financial operations.

Customers can receive one per cent, two per cent or 2.25 per cent interest from the Telephone Saver if they deposit up to £9,999, between £10,000 and £24,999 and over £25,000 respectively.

The minimum balance is £1 and the maximum is £1 million.

"It's always better for people to have a range of instant-access, medium and long-term savings to make sure their money works best for their needs," added Mr Brewster.

This month, Skipton Building Society announced it had received Customer First accreditation for the third consecutive time.
