Nationwide high interest savings account 'offers convenience'

Customers who sign up for the new Nationwide MySave Online Plus savings account will benefit from a very convenient service, according to a spokesperson for the firm.

Robin Bailey, savings director at the organisation, made his remarks after the launch of the product, which offers 2.25 per cent interest.

He claimed that the company has responded to feedback from non-Nationwide customers by offering this type of online proposition, which could offer people added convenience.

MySave Online Plus accepts balances of between £1,000 and £3 million, with clients able to make one withdrawal each year without affecting the return they receive.

"This account gives customers the best of both worlds: a competitive rate and access to their money when they really need it," he added.

Nationwide published its monthly index on UK house prices this week, indicating that values of properties in the country increased by 0.1 per cent on average between August and September.
